Description

The matchboxes are adorned with playful designs by Ola Niepsuj.

Chochoł is the straw spirit, guardian of roses in winter — a symbol of dormancy, not death. He reminds us that life continues, even beneath the surface. This LUDISM matchbox brings fire to that quiet force. The legend on the back tells a story of hope, natural cycles, and hidden vitality.

Each box contains approximately 50 wooden matches, each measuring 97 mm in length.

Made and designed in Poland.

Legend Behind
Chochol (Straw Phantom). A mysterious figure wrapped in straw, Chochol stands between two worlds—the past and the future, life and death. He is the whisper of transformation, a symbol of waiting and rebirth. Those who understand his presence know that change is inevitable, and with it comes renewal.
